Recent Paintings

Our paintings come together like musical and floral compositions. Colorful, abstract works are arranged with an emphasis on balance, contrast, variation, and harmony. The paintings are a collaborative effort made by laying down canvas on a table and painting horizontally, simultaneously. Occasionally, we take breaks to get a bird’s-eye view of our progress from the second floor of our studio and engage in conversation. The work requires negotiations—verbal and formal, playful and strategic. Each composition is created as a constellation of elements and marks, the result of three subjectivities merging as one.
